Tools You Can Use Brainstorming, Done Right |
Brainstorming can be a powerful process in which a group of people
working together generate better ideas than they could have working
independently. At its best, brainstorming is a brainpower
accelerator. Unfortunately, many of us have experienced a less
useful form of brainstorming that seems to weigh down creative thinking
and leave us suspecting that it would have been better to work solo.
The only difference between good and bad brainstorming is
whether the process is designed correctly. In this month's
featured video, Ed explains how to get it right. Make your next
brainstorming session a brainpower accelerator, not a brainpower anchor.

Huffington Post - November 16, 2011I
can make lasagna from scratch. Chicken parmigiana too, and several
other complex dishes. But I can't tell you how; I don't know until I
begin. That's because my parents taught me to cook without teaching me.
My
parents, you see, are talented chefs. And for the better part of my
childhood, we lived in a house that had a breakfast bar facing the
kitchen. Since I was -- ahem -- a chatty kid, on many evenings I sat at
that counter and talked with one or both of my parents as they

Message from Ed What Do YOU Want to See and Hear?
| |
OK,
I've survived the holidays, recovered from them, and completed some
serious strategic planning in January. I've hit the ground running
- more or less - and I'm excited about a fantastic 2012.
In coming months, I'll be sharing some of our plans for the year with you. I think you'll be excited too.
But
meanwhile, I have a more important request. Each year, I shoot
8-12 video clips. Each year, I write 10-12 articles on Huffington
Post, Monster.com, and elsewhere. And each year, I'm surprised
that there seems to be no shortage of topics to write and talk about.
This
year, I want to do something a little different. Instead of me
telling you what I'm thinking about, I want YOU to tell ME: What
do you want to hear about? Do you have a problem at work? A
topic you think would make a great Whiteboard Video? An idea for
an article?
If so, just hit reply, or send an email to info@groupharmonics.com, and let me know.
Let's make 2012 the year I talk and write about your topics!
Ed
